About us.
Flatfee AB is the company that makes Fee. Here you can read who is behind it, and how to reach us if you have a question, a problem or an idea.
A few words from me.
Hi, I’m Magnus, and I founded Flatfee.
We make Fee, an app where you get help from AI. You write to Fee the way you would write to a knowledgeable friend, and get answers in plain language. Fee is also our mascot, the character you meet in the app.
The character is a tribute to my child. The child’s curiosity, humour and warmth became the character Fee, and my child is the reason I started building the app.
Before Flatfee, I worked with events such as festivals, including with international artists. There I learned that an event has succeeded when the audience simply notices that everything works. The audience should not have to know what goes on behind the stage. I have brought that idea with me to Fee.
I want getting help from AI to be as easy as asking a neighbour who knows most things. You should not have to know anything about the technology, and you should get an answer you can use straight away, whether or not you have tried AI before.
I promise you three things: Fee says straight out what it can and cannot do, you always decide for yourself, and a person answers when you write to us.

Ideas from everyday life.
While a small outbuilding was being renovated by Lake Närsen, there were long conversations about what an app should actually do for the person using it.
Light evenings. Harsh winters. Time to think.
Three ideas from those conversations live on in Fee.
Understand first.
Fee should understand the request properly before it decides what to do.
Ask when it matters.
Fee asks before anything big happens, not before every small step.
Show the result.
You should be able to read, review and change what Fee suggests.
Work continued in Borlänge.
There, the ideas became Fee, and that is where Flatfee is today. The goal is concrete: to help you understand a letter, write a reply or finish something that has been left undone.
